Using excel to go and retrieve data from another system.
Have '\\computername\data address\' in various cells
within a workbook. This workbook has numerous
calculations and worksheets. Everything has worked and
then I recently experienced where excel simply stopped
getting the data. No network problems, no details within
the event logs of the Win2000 server where excel is
installed, no details on the computer excel is going to,
no netDDE service problems, etc. Any idea what to look
for or may be the issue?
Once excel obtains the data and completes the necessary
calculations, data is sent to a sqlserver.
