Hello
How to make excel tables embedded into a Word 2002 page appear white, not
gray on a monitor?

If this is field shading then go to Tools | Options | View and change "Field
shading" from "Always" to "Never" or "When selected." The shading will not
print, in any case.

"When selected" means that when the insertion point is in the field, it's
gray, otherwise not.
