Excel tables linked to Access - Universal naming convention

Hi,

I linked excel tables into Access. The files are stored on a shared server.
How can I changed the file path from to read \\servername\sharename\path\file
instead of the O:\\path\file?

I need other people to be able to use the files and update links without
everyone having to map the server to the same drive.

Laura,

Re-link the tables, only this time when you do so, when you get the file
dialog, do not go to your linked drive directly; instead, go through My
Network Places > Entire Network > Microsoft Windows Network etc, all the
way down to the server and folder. This will keep the absolute address
in the link properties.
