excel temp files

Hi, i work on excel alot and some time i forgot to save my
work and excel crashes and my autosave is not turn on i
loose all my work. I know please correct me eventhough my
autosave is off a .tmp file is created in my temp folder.
if this is correct is it possible to restore this .tmp
file. Please Help.
