Excel template: mac and windows

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

Maybe this argument has been already discussed but I didn't find it.
I have to share templates with windows machines and the preview and the printing are different (shorter and wider on mac than in windows). Also pictures are distorted.
If I open the same in NeoOffice everything seems ok. How is it possible? How can I solve this?
Thanks for suggestions.

The most common cause of this problem is the difference in printers/drivers
being used on the Windows system as opposed to what's being used on the Mac.
That is often compounded by the 2nd most common cause which is a difference
in the fonts available on the respective systems. Either can cause the
problem ‹ a combination of the 2 will almost guarantee it.
