Excel to open Project

I want to be able to link an Excel workbook to the data in a Project file -
is this possible? ie this avoids me having to run an export map from Project
and then copying the data into the workbook manually.

Steve,
Yes, Excel and Project can exchange bidirectional data. Depending on
exactly what data you want to exchange, one method may be more
appropriate than another. For the most flexibility, my preferred method
is via a VBA macro however if you do not have VBA experience, other
methods may be adequate for your needs. You mention an export map.
Although I haven't used this, you should be able to at least partially
automate that process by recording a macro that employs an export map.
