excel to word mailmerge

i did a excel to word milmerge for labels and got about 68
pages. i now want to insert page numbers.
i am using the avery standard 5160 and i set it to 9 per
page but after i insert the page numbers it does not
increment. i tried going into page setup and changed the
layout but no luck.

If you add page numbers to labels you will screw up the alignment. There is
insufficient room for the footer that would carry the number without ruining
the label layout..
A merge of labels creates only one 'page' but several sections, so you
woulkd have to address the sections instead of the pages to reflect the
'page' numbers.
