Excel Toolbar customisation

I was trying to create custom menubar and items in Excel 2008 Mac, and add
menu items with customised links to files (this was possible in xls 2003),
but now it seems that only macros can be added no easy file link.

Does anyone know how to do this, or any suggestion(s) on getting around it?

Thanks

Have you considered File> Open Recent & File> Open Recent> More... ? You
might also benefit from File> Save Workspace

Individual files can't be added to the menu but in addition to the
suggestions above both Excel & OS X offer plenty of options for quickly
accessing commonly used files. Which ones will work best for you depends on
your specific requirements.

Thanks,

They are possible options - and the only options it seems - though none of
them are as neat as a customs menu with hyperlink (something that was
available in the pc version)

:(
would be nice to include in future updates ( with picture size reduction
option)

Thanks

in addition to that, I can only add a Custom Button to the toolbar, but how do I Assign A Macro to that button? Doesnt work like the old office.

Not sure what this is "in addition to" since I can't follow your post's
thread reference, but if you're using XL08, you don't - XL08 doesn't run
macros.

If you're using XL04, CTRL- or right-click the button and choose "Assign
Macro" from the pop-up menu.
