Excel Toolbar Disappears

When toggling between Virtual Desktops in XP's Virtual
Desktop Manager the toolbars for excel disappear.

Is there a way to lock these toolbars down?
Is there a shortcut that will restore these toolbars at
the press of a button?

Has anyone else had these problems?
