Excel toolbar, spinner tool

In an older version of Excel I had as a tool bar (in the
control tool box) option access to the spinner tool with
our having to do visual basic. Is that spinner available
where it works by inputing the cell value rather than the
visual basic method? I can't seem to find it on my new
slate computer. Thanks for the help - John

You might be talking about the spinner on the Forms Toolbar. View / Toolbars / Forms

That can be linked to a cell without the use of VBA

It is still there for compatibility, do view>toolbars and check the forms
option, now
click and drag the spinner button somewhere, right click it and select
format control,
there you can set the cell link and the incremental change as well as min
and max
and starting value

Hi Ken, the one from control toolbox can also be linked without VBA,
however since the OP mentioned older version I went with the forms toolbar
as well

I like the Forms Toolbar - Nice and easy and uncomplicated for me, albeit a tad restrictive at
times :)
