I am the 'administrator' on my computer. Excel opens fine for my husband, the other user. I set up a new user as a test, and excel opens fine for that, but suddenly not for me. I've run disk utility (permission repairs), reinstalled the application, run virus checks. Word was doing the same thing and I copied it from the other user and now it works, I think (maybe it's quit by now), but Excel wouldn't cooperate. I hope someone can answer in relatively simple English because the complex answers in other forums in computerese don't help me much.
