excel v.x crashes when I use add in in Tools

Hi all,
I'm using excel v.x with a spreadsheet containing macros.
It's a budget software and was getting #name? in some of the fields.
So I went to Tools, then add ins and selected Analysis toolpak &
Analysis Toolpack - VBA .
It then calculates those fields and then the file crashes and closes
up.
I installed the latest update (but not previous updates) and it still
seems to do this.
Can anyone help?

Does the file calculate and then crash? Have you tried to create a new sheet
and then just try a single function from the Analysis toolpak?

You should try deleting the Carbon Registration Database in
~/Library/Preferences/Microsoft
It will be recreated from scratch and this often helps with VBA-related
crashes.
If your user folder is relocated on another drive, the CRD will
systematically be recorrupted. Posta back inthe group and I'll give you a
workaround.
