Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

When I open spreadsheets they do not come into view unless I change them to "full screen" from the View menu. It is like they are open not visible. I can then hit "close full screen" and they are still visible.

Any Ideas?

Are you using the OS X Spaces feature?... With which Office 2008 is
universally known to be dysfunctional. Turn Spaces off & see if the problem
disappears instead of the sheets

If that isn't the problem you'll need to be more specific:

Is this *all* files or just certain ones? Where did they originate? What
else can you offer about the situation? And what is your exact update of
both Office & OS X?
