Excel Will Not Open after Using Access

I am having issues with Excel. If I open Access during the
day, I can not open Excel for the remainder of the day
without rebooting my system. Excel opens up, but the
workbook is not viewable. I see what ever is in the
background (ie... email, my desktop, anything) Help!!!!
