Excel will not open. Error msg says low on memory

Excel worked fine until Friday. Now will not open. Locks up system. I have uninstalled and re installed. Word and Access work fine. This is on Win 98 with 256 mb ram. Any ideas on how to fix the problem?

Try searching for a file with an .xlb extension. (Name may differ, but *.xlb
should find it). Set to search hidden files also as it may be hidden).

When found move it from it's folder and re-start XL. If it is OK, delete
the file as XL will create a new one. (It's the toolbar customisation file,
all changes you have made to the toolbars will be lost)
