When I tried to open Excel today I got the msg "File not Loaded". When I hit OK it then proceeds to attempt to open a series of random files, including non-excel files. I have no option but to force quit excel.

Excel had been working although very slowly due to the bug with snow leopard.

Pen Excel with the shift key down. Then go to Preferences and clear out the
value in "Open All Files In...."

Thanks Rob

I managed to overcome the problem by deleting away the excel plist file from the library and restarting excel.
