Excel will not start

Jennifer

When I try to open Excel in my Win 98 system nothing
happens. I do not see the opening Excel banner or any
errors or warnings. Excel just doesn't open as if it
weren't there at all.
How can I fix this ?
Thank you
Jennifer

Try searching for a file called *.xlb. (Include hidden files and folders in
your search). When you find it, cut and paste it to your desktop or
similar. Now try and start Excel. If it's OK, delete the file you moved.
It's the toolbar customisation file for Excel. When excel doesn't find one
it makes another.
