excel wont add columns

Excel has stopped adding values in spread sheets. Have sheet used before with
original entries, when input forther values not recognised. When sum added
agian total appears. next input not rcognised again!

Tools|Options|Calculation and check Automatic

The topic of this group is things that make Excel crash. That happens
rarely and so this group is not widely read. You would have gotten a much
faster reply posting to the group for general questions
(microsoft.public.excel.misc) where this would have been more on-topic.
