Excel won't Auto recover

P

One feature that I can't to find in Office is for Excel.
The feature is an "auto recover" for when Windows blows
up on you and you have to restart etc, "like that never
happens". I've been waiting for this feature for at least
four - six versions of Office now, why because it exists
in Word. My "Office" should get the same treatment no
matter which type of document I'm working on. Since When
is a word doc more important than number crunching, It
just doesn't make any sense.

I use office 2000, and wish the feature was in the
program, does anyone know if there is a way to turn it
on, and how?

If not does anyone know if Auto Recover for Excel has
been added to Office XP, or If not how do I suggest this
to Microsoft so that maybe they treat each office app the
same with system crash features.
