Excel won't print all info in cells

When I resize an Excel worksheet, I notice that not all numbers/text
in the cells appear when I print. In print preview, everything looks
OK, but when I print, numbers or text are missing. Where should I look
to troubleshoot this? I use Office 2004 for Mac, Student/Teacher
edition on an Intel Mac, 10.4.8.

What do you mean by "resize an Excel worksheet"?

In addition to what Geoff suggested, have you checked to see if there is an
update for your printer driver?... I'm also assuming that Office is fully
updated (11.3.4) as well.

I've also run into this problem on numerous occassions (text getting
cut off in cells when printing). I've tried changing the print Quality
setting under page setup to High and that fixes it on some files, but
not all the time. Everything always looks good on print preview, but
comes out cut of. any ideas?

What kind of printer are you using? Are you sure you have the latest printer
drivers installed? Is the printer you are using selected when you do the
print preview?

Are the missing number/text on the margin of the page - in other words
is it possible that you have set margins in excel to small in
comparison whith printable area of your printer (just hi-end printers
can print the whole page - others have on-printable area of arround
0.5 cm)?

Could thatbe a technical problem of printer - do you have IJ? Can some
of the noozles be dirty/stuck? Can that be a dammaged roller of laser
printer? Does this happens just from excel?

What happen if you print your document into PDF, Is it OK? What happen
if you then send the pdf to the printer? Make sure you have margins
set correctly in both (excel/pdf/printer).

I may have a similar problem and found a thread that mentioned
changing the print quality. However, on my system, that option is
greyed out. Any way to "release" it?
Thanks

Do you have a printer selected?

If so, it may not have multiple settings.

First line of defense is verifying that the printer has the hardware
capacity to print at different quality settings. Had you ever been able
to select it in the past? What about in other applications? Anything
on the manufacturer's website addressing that?

Second line of defense would be to go to System Preferences, and under
"print & fax," delete the printer, then re-add it. I've had that clear
up some weird printer-related issues in the past.

Re-downloading and re-installing the driver for the printer would be my
next step.

Again, the question I would ask is, "Does your printer behave weirdly in
any other applications?" (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, TextEdit, Safari,
Preview?)
