Excel, Word, Powerpoint Crash

Steve

MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint crash or freeze everytime when I do the following:
-copy with Ctrl-C
-Save
-Save As

On other occassions the programs have crashed when I do any type of editing.
This happens with new and existing files.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and the problem remains.
I have Office Professional Edition 2003 running on Windows XP Home Edition.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I've got the same problem. I'm using Office XP and the problem's been on
WIN2K and XP boxes. Not sure if its Office update linked.

Anyone else got this

I have been having the same problem this week with all of the Microsoft
Office products, including Publisher. When I uninstalled the latest security
updates and restarted my computer, I had no more problems. HOWEVER, the
updates keep re-installing on my computer. This morning I edited a document,
sent it to print 50 copies and when I returned, the updates had reinstalled
and my changes were lost. I restarted the print job without thinking about
the changes and just printed dozens of copies with a glaring error on the
front page. This update problem just cost me $65 in color ink (I have to pay
for each page at my office!)

I tried to turn off the feature which looks for automatic updates but
because I am not the system admin, I cannot change this. My company won't
turn it off because it wants all the updates. Stuck between a rock and a
hard place in Cincinnati!

I am still having the problem. I tried updating the registry and deleting
the security update.
