Excel workbook is locking up, says program not responding

Help, this sucks! I have a workbook with macros, filters, pivot tables, etc.
I have been building this for awhile. Anyways all of the sudden it will lock
up and make me close it via the task manager. I have 2003. Anyone have any
suggestions PLEASE!
