Excel workbook size

I have a couple of questions re a problem with the size of
workbooks/sheets in Excel 2002.
1. How can I find out if Excel saves the formulas in every
cel versus saving the formula once and then referring to
all appropriate cels?
2. How can I resize a sheet i.e. make it smaller, without
loosing any of the data.
3. How can I resize a shortened scroll bar?
