Excel X: How to protect column headings?

E

Edward M. Baum

How do I protect column headings at the top of a spreadsheet so they are
visible no matter how I far down scroll? In earlier versions of Excel there
was a PROTECT command under TOOLS that did it. In Excel X there is
PROTECTION, but I can't figure out how to lock the top row and only scroll
those below.

Any advice?

Thanks in advance.

If I understand you correctly, you need to "split" the screen, of
"freeze" the pane. There was a thread here recently that may help.
