Excel X on a MAC - Print to pdf

Robert Poland

I am tryiing to Print to PDF All sheets of an Excel Workbook using OS
10.2.8 on a iMac 800.

According to Microsoft;
"MacXLX: Workbook That Is Printed to PDF File Does Not Include All
Worksheets
This article applies to.
This article was previously published under Q325995"

There are numerous workarounds, all seem to print each 'sheet'
individually.

Third party software is advertised as available for $70 to $120 and
more. Most are for the PC. Some don't work at all.

Since OS X and Office X have been out for years surely someone has
come up with a "fix" for this stupid error.

As far as I know the problem is a result of each sheet being processed
as a separate print file. I had a similar problem printing tax forms
from TurboTax which I resolved by running a looping shell script that
tested a specified folder for the presence of a (non-null) print output
file and renamed it by suffixing two digits.

Hi Robert,

The good news is that you can see that Microsoft is aware of the problem.
The bad news is that the problem has not yet been fixed.

Microsoft has announced that they are building the next version of Office.
Please take a moment to request that Microsoft add a new feature to print an
entire workbook to PDF. Right now is the best time to get that feedback to
Microsoft.

To send feedback to Microsoft the best way is to use the Feedback option on
Excel's help menu.

An alternative way is to use this URL:
http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

All feedback submitted by either method is read by the product managers and
is tracked in a database. The more requests for a feature the more likely it
is to be considered for implementation. Feedback posted to messages in the
newsgroups is not necessarily read by the folks at Microsoft. This is a
peer-to-peer forum.
