Excel XP on Windows 98

Under Excel 97 when you open more than one new spreadsheet a new application
wouldn't be created on the taskbar.

I know that under Win XP you have a function to "Group Similar taskbar items
together", since this is Windows 98 i can't use it.

Is their a way of not creating a new item and just using the window menu to
switch as with 97?
