Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel I cannot seem to get the fonts to work properly for a spreadsheet. Despite changing them to a 28 font, which should be huge, it still prints up as only about an 8-10 font. I can't seem to fix this. Any ideas?
thanks

If the font size is occurring on screen ‹ which you don't say ‹ the problem
is most likely in your Print dialog settings or you need an update of the
printer driver. Check Page Setup for Scaling as ell as the Copies & Pages
window of the Print Dialog & on the Layout page make sure you don't have it
set for more than 1 page per sheet. You can find the driver update on the
printer mfr's web site.

Also, confirm that you have both Office (12.2.3) & OS X (10.5.8) fully
updated.

thanks Bob... if I increase the font size, the cell will increase in size but the text font remains the same. Would it still be this same solution?

Well, not entirely -- the Updating your software, OS X & printer driver
certainly pertains. Those are always foremost considerations. However,
problem as you describe it now is a little different than what I understood
from the "prints up" expression in your first message.

It sounds like what you're saying now is that increasing the font size
causes the row height to change but -- on screen -- the size of the
characters doesn't appear to increase. Apparently it has nothing to do with
printing at all... Is that correct?

If so, the first thing I'd suspect is that the formatting of the cell is set
to include the Shrink to Fit attribute. Select the cell then go to Format>
Cells - Alignment. Clear the Shrink to Fit checkbox & see if that fixes it.
