This also occurs occasionally when you are working with data important as
something other than a number (such as a text download of numbers through an
ERP). It can be resolved by clicking outside of the cell, clicking the
cell, changing format (format cells) to general.
Position cursur at the end of the formula and hit enter. If this works in
cell one, you will need to paste to remaining columns or reformat entire
column.
