Excel97 crashes when trying to access Options

When I click on Tools - options in Excel97 Excel crashes.
I am using Windows XP with SP1. Everything else works OK
and I have just done a repair of XP which has solved
other problems.
I would like to specify the folder where I want to keep
spreadsheets but this crash makes that impossible.
Is there a solution?

Thanks for that Jan. Applying SP2 makes it work fine. I
did try to find the problem in the Microsoft Knowledge
Base but probably didn't put the right thing in the
search box.

Don't appologize for poor searching in the KB. The KB search is
probably MS worst product IMO.
