Excell 2002 locks up using copy paste.

When I copy and past on my sheet with in the same sheet
my pc locks up and I have to do a hard shut down. Im'not
sure when this started. I had a new hard drive put in and
I think it when I down loaded all the updates for windows
and xp. This does not happen in word or any othe
programs.
