Exception while trying to open UML Diagram

Hi,
When I try to create a new UML-Model Diagram usig Visio 2000, I get
error message: "An exception has occurred while
communicating with Visio. Close Visio and re-run." and after that the
program hangs.
Can anyone help me out with this.
