I have a client using Exchange 2003 with no special security settings.
Currently, he's running Windows XP Pro on the Dell system with Outlook 2003.
He's thinking of switching his office systems over to the Mac.
As part of the transition, I took a MacBook to his office. It's running
MacOS 10.6.3 and Entourage 2008 12.2.4 with Exchange support. With Exchange
server values in hand, I attempted to establish his Exchange account in
Entourage. However, the verification process indicates the username and/or
password are not correct. I have no problem accessing his account through
Safari using the very username and password that Entourage will not accept.
Today, the company's Windows IT consultant met me at the company's office to
explore the problem. He tried several combinations of settings in Entourage,
but still ended up with the same error message concerning an incorrect
username and/or password for the account.
Is there something obvious that we're overlooking?
