Hello,
We have an Exchange 2003 Enterprise environment that we are in the process
of migrating to Exchange 2007 SP1. We have migrated all mailboxes, excpet
those using Entourage 2008. Following is our setup:
Entourage 2008:
acct id: <username>
domain: domain
password: psswd
exchange server: mail.domain.com/exchange/[email protected]
DAV service uses SSL is checked.
public folders server: mail.domain.com/public
DAV service uses SSL is checked.
LDAP server: globalcatalog.domain.com
On the exchange side we are running Windows Server 2008 x64 Ent with
Exchange 2007 SP1 Ent, NLB clustered CAS servers and CCR mailbox clusters.
CAS servers are running IIS7, WebDAV has been enabled as well as URL
Authentication. We still have our legacy Exchange 2003 servers up at this
time until we can successfully connect an entourage client to the new
Exchange 2007 SP1 enterprise servers.
This is the situation when the mailbox is on the 2007 server:
The Entourage client returns: "Mail could not be received at this time. The
server for account "<username>" returned the error "Logon failure: inknown
user name or bad password." Your username/password or security settings may
be incorrect. Would you like to try re-entering your password?"
CAS server IIS logs report:

So, this being the case, why does Entourage not talk to the mailbox when it
is on the 2007 server? Perhaps we are missing some configuration? Please
Advise.
Thanks,
Noel Hall
