Email Client: Exchange

As a brand new MBP user with Office 2008 I am looking at moving from Outlook 2007 to Entourage. Our company used Exchange 2007 with UM so all voicemails come into our Inbox. It works good in Outlook, however I am not able to play the files on my MAC from Entourage. I have installed the WMA.WMV drivers from Microsoft for Quicktime, however when I click on the WMA attachment it opens Quicktime but will not play the file. What am I missing?

I have searched quite a bit for anything on the Exchange 2007 UM support in Entrouage but I have not found anything. Any advice on how I can play my voicemails in Entrouage 2008?

Thank you!

As an FYI I have even tried coping the file to the MAC desktop and then tried playing it from there with no luck. It opens Quicktime but does not play the file.

Any thoughs?

I gave this a try and it still will not play the WMA file. It says it can not play the file format. I thought that the voice mails were in Windows Media 9 format?

I would ask if this is a supported feature in the 2008 version of Entourage?

Entourage is just the deliver vehicle for your voice message recording.
I know of no sound file formats that can not be played on a Mac unless
they are proprietary formats of Windows-only applications.

Most likely something exists to play the file. Unfortunately, my company
doesn't use this feature.

Entourage for Mac users can install and use Windows Media Player 9 for Mac OS
X from here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/mac/mp9/default.aspx
to play those messages in wmv format. The messages will be played in Windows
MEdia Player and not inline in Entourage (like one can play Quick Time based
media files). Another option is to change the format of voicemail messages on
server side from wmv to wav so that Entourage for Mac users can play those
messages.
