Exchange 5.5 & entourage X

I can setup a LDAP config and get it check names correctly, but only if I
don¹t have an exchange account setup, (obviously I get a message saying I
can send the message as I have not got smtp configured) but as soon as I set
one up it stops checking the names.... I've setup a pop account
configuration and when I send from that it checks names ok???

How do I get it to check names from my exchange account?

Entourage X with Exchange Update does not support an Exchange based account
configuration when connecting to a mailbox on Exchange 5.5 Server. You will
need an Exchange 2000 with SP2 at least. This is due to the fact that
Exchange 5.5 does not use WebDAV to access your mailbox, which Entourage
uses and only Exchange 2000 or later support.

Using Exchange 5.5 on server side, you can only use other protocols like
pop/SMTP/imap to access your mailbox, not the Exchange Update for Entourage
X based Exchange Account, which requires WebDAV.
