Exchange AND PST?

Maybe I'm missing something but is there a way to have the exchange
account data stay stored on the exchange server and still have POP3
account data come to a local PST?

I've seen a number of help files, KB and answers here about migration
and such but not this.

A non-profit I'm helping make a change has had me@mydomain emails
coming from a POP3 service. We're changing that to in-house exchange.
I guess after I create the exchange email account I can import the old
mail in the PST file so it has the old stuff. I'll set the exchange
account to save to the exchange server. But it looks like there is
only one choice for all email accounts. It all goes to exchange or it
all goes to a PST? THis is Outlook 2002.

Most of these people also have second accounts and personal accounts
that will remain POP3 and I would like that to stay in their PST.
Doable?

Thanks,
Tom

In OL2002 it's not easy but the ability to have different accounts delivered
to different places was added in OL2003 or OL2007

"Not easy". So there is a way?

I would upgrade everybody but they don't want to spend the money and
they want to keep everyone on the same version.

Thanks

I think you might be able to create rules in each person's mailbox to move
items from certain accounts to specified places

Ahh, profiles. Didn't think of that. Somewhat inconvenient but that's
the tradeoff of sticking with 2002. Thanks.
