I am having a strange situation.
I am using Outlook 2003 to connect to an Exchange 2007 server via a corporate VPN.
Outlook will say it is connected, sends and receive emails, display public folders, etc.
When I try to look at my rules, I get a dialog box stating that I need to be online in order to modify the rules. Same message when attempting to use the "out of Office assistant".
I tried to add a new profile and connect it to the same exchange server and it cannot resolve the server name.
I don't want to mess too much with the profile since it mostly works at the moment.
What is required to connect Outlook to Exchange via a VPN?
Are there certain ports that need to be opened?
Any insight would be appreciated.
