Exchange meeting invites accepted on iPhone not appearing inEntourage

I am syncing the calendar on my iPhone 3GS (OS 3.0) with Exchange
(2007 server) via ActiveSync. I do not sync Entourage (2008) or the
iPhone calendars with Sync Services on my Mac.

If I accept a meeting on the Mac an acceptance appears in my Sent Mail
on both the iPhone and in Entourage. However, the accepted meeting
does not show up in my calendar on Entourage.

Any ideas gratefully accepted

P.S. I have the usual Applescript in place to fix the well known issue
with messages sent from the iPhone appearing garbled in Entourage.
