Exchange meetings accepted on iPhone not showing up in Entouragecalendar

I am syncing the calendar on my iPhone 3GS (OS 3.0) with Exchange
(2007 server) via ActiveSync. I use Entourage 2008 to access my
Exchange account from the Mac. I do not sync Entourage or the iPhone
calendars with Sync Services on my Mac.

If I accept a meeting on the iPhone the accepted meeting
does not show up in my calendar on Entourage. An acceptance does
appears in my Sent Mail
on both the iPhone and in Entourage but nothing in the calendar where
it really matters. I currently have to rely entirely on the iPhone to
manage my calendar as Entourage is no longer an accurate reflection of
what's there.

Any ideas gratefully accepted

P.S. I have the usual Applescript in place to fix the well known
issue
with messages sent from the iPhone appearing garbled in Entourage.
