Exchange not available to Entourage 2008 Student Edition???

O

Hi...yes I posted this twice.

I'm a student at DeVry, but use Sherweb's hosted Exchange as my
personal email.

Based on what I've read, Entourage will be included with the Office
2008 Student edition, but Exchange access won't be part of Entourage
if I purchase the Student Edition?

Is this correct?

Thanks

Well that bites!

Right now you can spend the $150.00 you'd normally spend on an update to
purchase another S&T license (redundant, I know) and take advantage of
of Microsoft's Super Suite Deal to get the Special Media Edition. It
will include the Automator Actions as well as Exchange support in Entourage.

Have a look here for details
<http://www.microsoft.com/mac/go/promotions/supersuitedeal/>.

Hope this helps!

Hi I work for SherWeb and I'm an Entourage user too :)

You'll be glad to know that Sherweb offers a free registered copy of
Entourage to all its mac users. I think they'll be offering entourage
2008 soon.

Sincerely yours,
Thibaut

So in the past version (2004) they had connectivity to Exchange via your employer's Outlook Web Access published link for example, which is how I access work email currently. If I get the student version for 2008 will that feature be removed altogether? Please note that the packaging for the Student version in the past ALSO stated "no support for exchange" however the feature I just described was there.

Can I upgrade to Mac version from Student then?

Unfortunately, no. The trade-off made between 2004 and 2008 is that
Office Home & Student is available to everyone, not just someone in the
education market.

If you've made a purchase already, you might try taking your product
back to your retailer and asking for an exchange. Since you'll be paying
additional money you have a better chance for getting the exchange.

Hope this helps!
