Exchange + outlook VS Lotus notes

Hi everybody,

I am currently working with an organization which is checking two options
for calendar based applications.
On this project i'm trying to help the organization decide on whether to
choose each of the alternatives where on the Lotus notes, the organization
has its own people who are running proof of concepts and so on, and i am
running the exchange and outlook application based proof of concepts.

Its an organization which has about 2500 clients...
As for now i must say, that exchange and outlook appear to be a VERY VERY
hard to handle environment.

One of the POC processes are to schedule a meeting with a group of
recipients from the addres book and send it to them.
After that, Send a cancellation to sone of the recipients of the meeting.
All using the outlook object model. (because they want to test it for client
applications as well.)
FOR SOME REASON IT SEEMS LIKE ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO SEND A MEETING CANCELLATION
TO SPECIFIC REPIENTS!!!
And i have also noticed other threads in many newgroups of people trying to
do exactly that with no success!

I outlook object model really so lame?
What should i tell the POC managers? that its possible only to schedule the
appointments but not to cancel it through outlook object model?!?!?!
Outlook object model simply seems like its missing allot of functionality!
I (and not only I apperently) would expect that outlook which is now on its
6th(!!!) version will cover this functionality...

I would really appreciate any help...

Asaf
