Exchange pop3 reply account

I need to pull mail from a pop3 account and want to ALWAYS send/reply using
my Exchange account. I have read many threads suggesting that I set my pop3
SMTP to my exchange server etc. but it is not working. Unless I manually
set the account to exchange when I reply from the POP mail, it tries to send
via the pop account. Is there a way/utility of any kind to force Outlook to
always send from the exchange?
thanx

Setting the SMTP server to your Exchange server is the way. "Not working"
means that there is a configuration setting that needs to be modified.

Thank you for the quick response. It was failing because of open relay. I
opened a secured relay via IP address and email flowed normally.
thanx again.

I have exactly opposite problem. I have setup Exchnage account and Pop3
account in My Outlook 2003 in same profile.

My Pop3 account is default profile. However, every new email / calendar
invite is set to be sent by Exchange Account. I want my POP3 account to be
used by default for outgoing emails.

Exchange account is my client's acount and I don't want to send internal
emails using client's email account.

Is it possible?
