Exchange Pounds to euros in excel spreedsheet

Hi

I have an excel spreedsheet with more that 200 items that
are listed in pounds and I want to convert them to euros
at the actual exchange rate. Is it possible to do this
without having to change them one by one?

Assuming your values are in column A, you could use a
formula such as:

=A1*1.48041

and fill the formula down. Then copy the formulas and
paste special > value over the old values.

Surely;

Put whatever the factor is to convert from pounds to euros in some cell. I
don't know about pounds or euro's, but say a pound = 2.2 euros.

Put 2.2 in some cell, then press CTRL-C on that cell to copy it.

Select the range of pounds, then go to edit>paste special>multiply. and it
will multiply all pounds by 2.2 and you'll have euros.

i think so i created a worksheet like this


rate 0.36

POUNDS EURO
1000 360
200 72
150 54
150 54

changing the rate in b1 (based on current rate)
and write the formula under euro
=a4*$b$1 (to convert..use the appropriate formula coz im
not sure whats the rate...if its div or mult)
then copy the formula to the entire column
changing the rate will automatically change the figures
