Excl won't open

Just installed OS9.2 and OSX on blue-and-white Mac G3 and
Excel wont open in OS9.2 because "Microsoft_OLE2 could not
be found" and will not open in OSX because "Excel
unexpedtedly quit." My Excel is Mac Version 5.0. If 5.0 is
too old, I could not find an update on Microsoft web site.

In this case it's easier: Excel 5 won't work in Mac OS9. You'll have to
upgrade to a more recent version. It may be Excel:2001 if you need to run it
in OS 9. If you don't, jump to Excel v.X
