Excluding blank pages in Excel worksheet printout

P

Pat Convey

Hello Folks,

I have created a worksheet that offers users to print out a finalised
document.

The sheet list various questions one of which is, How many family members
are there and for the names, addresses, contact numbers etc to be entered
into various cells.

By selecting a radio button to inform of the number of family members, a
macro then produces enough records to be filled in for each of the family
members. This is a simple macro that basically unhides rows containing
enough records for 10 family members so that if you select 2 then only two
records are revealed to be filled in.

When printing out the finished document, how can I exclude those hidden rows
from the printed version of the document? As it is now, blank sheets are
included in the printouts, which kind of defeat the object of saving paper.

Any help would be greatfully welcome. I hope I haven't confused you with my
explanation.

Many thanks in advance,

Pat Convey.

Ok, you've hidden rows, but they print anyway? Is this correct? If so, it's
completely abnormal. Do the rows show in print preview? Are you sure you
have the latest printer driver?

Hello Bob,

Thanks for the reply.

The hidden rows do NOT show in print preview but the rows in question are
located in the central portion of the worksheet. So when you view in print
preview mode, there is a gap where the hidden rows would be if unhidden.

All print drivers are OK.

This still is not "normal". Hidden rows should be hidden and not show at
all, and not leave space in the page. Double check the print drivers to make
sure they are current, check that the print quality is set to highest,
and/or try with another printer.

What version of Excel are you using?
What printer are you using?
What OS are you using?
What exactly is in the hidden rows?
