Excluding pre-inception dates from Gantt view

How can I exclude dates that precede a project's inception in the Gantt
view? The slider seems to stop at the beginning of the year in which
the project commenced, not the first valid task date. Worse, the
arrowhead repositioners at the ends of the slider are quite willing to
scroll well into prehistory.

Hi Poster,
As far as I know, you cannot restrict the scroll bars ability to scroll
previous to a project start date nor after the completion.
You may want to use the ALT + HOME keyboard shortcut to re-orient the Gantt
chart back to the beginning of the project or use the Go to Selected Task
button in the standard toolbar to roll a selected task's bar into view.
