EXE Files

Scoody

When i try to open an email with a EXE attachement,
Outlook gives me the message "Outlook blocked access to
the following potentially unsafe attachement: .exe.
I think Office SP2 had something to do with it.
Any ideas hiw to get round this.

*smile* ask the person you are sending it to to pick it
up online instead of downloading it. You know, go to who
ever site mail, or charter mail, or bell south mail and
access their account from the site. They may have to
change the settings on their account to stop deleting
messages after they are picked up by outlook or what ever
they use so that they will be there when they go to look
for them. Be sure to always check those attachments
though to make sure they are clean if you are going to
open 'em. 'Course you cant do it with hotmail (I don't
think)...but you can with some of the others *smile*.

Maybe it works....I know that the gifs that were changed
to bitmaps in outlook are still gifs online before they
are downloaded...I pick those up myself...I haven't tried
to download and exe yet hahahaha...Also another thing I
do is have a private page on my site that I upload larger
programs and stuff to. They can go there with the
address you give them and click on it and download it
there.

*smile* now can somebody help me....question will
follow...compatability with Outlook and my aol
dsl....arggggggh
