execution run-time error

Chris Lenneberg

My pc sucddenly will not run Access. An error message that read 'Execution of
this application has stopped due to run-time error' flashes up; no error
reference number is given.
I have noted that Acess has disappeared from the program menu. I have tried
launching from the Office directory; this does not work either.
I am desperately hoping that somone can help me with this problem.
Thanks
Chris

I'm afraid you'll need to reinstall Access. If you have your Office CD, run
it; you can try the Repair option first. But you might need to completely
uninstall Office and reinstall it.

If you open the Control Panel "Add and Remove Programs" window, does Access
show up?

No, John, it does not.
I do have Norton Systemworks. Could this help me to remove the programme?

If it's not in Add/Remove Programs it would appear that it's already been
removed - either by someone removing it, or by your computer's registry
getting badly messed up. Try reinstalling, or (probably better) getting some
onsite expert help; if you know that Access has NOT been deliberately
removed, this could be a real mess.
