Executive Dashboard

Hi,

I am working through the Implementing and Administering Project Server 2007
by MS Project Experts, and I was looking for clarification on the Executive
Dashboard on page 594-595.

How do I calculate Percent Cost Overbudget, Percent Work Overbudget, Max
Cost and Max Duration? I only have a few projects in the Enterprise at this
time and very limited data to mess with and verify calculations. Also, what
type of graphical indicator limits are on each level?

I understand this may be defined by my business rules vs what the book says
but I am trying to understand what the book is showing.

Thanks.

The steps to create the Percent Cost Overbudget field are presented on pages
272-282. You can use a similar formula to create the Percent Work
Overbudget field. The steps to create the Graphical Indicators are
presented on pages 282-288. You must set the criteria for the Graphical
Indicators using your own organization's criteria and using the symbols your
organization wants to see in the executive dashboard.

The Max Cost and Max Duration fields are a couple of example fields we added
to the Project Server 2007 system we were configuring while writing the
book. They do not contain a formula of any type. Instead, they are
intended for the PMs to enter their maximum estimated Duration and Cost for
the project. Hope this helps.

Thanks Dale. I also see where I had the view setup incorrectly which was
also leading to my confusion.

Thanks for your time.
