I am trying to record a new macro that queries a db for a small amount of
data (7 columns, usually less than 100 rows). The query runs fine. In MS
Query I choose File>Return the data to MS Excel...... The work book comes up
and the starting cell selector pop up box comes up, referencing cell A1. I
click OK, and within a few seconds I get the "Excel has encountered a problem
and must close" box. I send the error report, and Excel closes.
I have shut off my anti virus, closed all other applications so the one
instance of Excel is the only thing running...... same results. I have
repaired Excel, uninstalled it and reinstalled it..... uninstalled MS Query
and re installed it.... Tried starting over with a new work book, and re
writing the query and it returns the data to excel, but when I try to record
a macro to automate it, I get the crash.
Any help pointing me in the right direction to correct this would be
appreciated.
